Creating Reels
Build video reels using the story editor with your product images and scenes.
The story editor in Qamera AI lets you assemble product images and generated scenes into video reels. This guide walks you through the full process from opening the editor to generating your final video.
Understanding the Scene-Based Workflow
Video reels in Qamera AI are built from individual scenes. Each scene represents a single visual moment in your video — typically one product image or a generated photo shoot result. You arrange these scenes in sequence, configure how they transition into each other, and the AI renders the complete video.
Step-by-Step: Creating a Reel
1. Open the Story Editor
Navigate to the Videos section from your workspace sidebar. Click the button to create a new reel to open the story editor.
2. Select Your Content
Browse your product catalog and generated images. Select the photos and scenes you want to include in your reel. You can choose from:
- Original product photos you uploaded
- Packshots generated by the AI
- Photo shoot images with models and sceneries
3. Arrange Scene Order
Drag and drop scenes to set the order they appear in the video. Consider the narrative flow — start with a wide product shot, move to detail views, and close with a lifestyle scene or brand moment.
4. Configure Transitions
Set how each scene flows into the next. The editor offers transition options between scenes that control the pacing and visual feel of the final video.
5. Add Music and Effects
If available in your plan, browse the music library to add a background track. Select audio that matches the mood you want to convey. Adjust timing so the visual transitions align with the beat.
6. Preview Your Reel
Use the preview function to watch a draft version of your reel before committing credits. Check the scene order, transition timing, and overall flow. Make adjustments as needed.
7. Generate the Final Video
Once you are satisfied with the preview, click generate. The platform will process your reel and notify you when it is ready. Generation time depends on the video length and current queue.
Tips for Effective Reels
- Limit scenes to 5-8 per reel — Shorter reels perform better on social media.
- Vary your angles — Mix close-ups, wide shots, and lifestyle scenes for visual interest.
- Front-load the hook — Place your most eye-catching scene first to stop the scroll.
- Match transitions to mood — Smooth transitions for premium products, snappier cuts for energetic brands.
