The notes you write for a photo-shoot session have always had a limit of 2000 characters. Nothing said so. A longer note was accepted by the form, sent, and then failed on our side with an error that explained nothing and named no field — leaving you to guess which part of a filled-in session was at fault, with no reason to suspect the notes.
From now on a note over the limit is refused as soon as you submit, and the message names the field and the number of characters allowed. Nothing else about the session is affected, and a note within the limit behaves exactly as before.
The limit itself has not changed. What changed is that it is now stated where you can act on it, rather than discovered as a failure.
