The public catalogue had grown into two generations of work stacked on top of each other. Some of the newer entries are deliberately the same idea done again — a hero shot with room for text, a macro of construction detail, a mirror social shot — and a visitor comparing two near-identical cards had no way to tell which one was current. Usually the older one gave the weaker result.
38 styles and 6 models have been withdrawn from the marketplace. They no longer appear in the catalogue and their individual pages no longer open, so a link you had saved to one of them may stop working.
Nothing was taken from anyone. Withdrawing an entry from the catalogue is not the same as deleting it. If a style or a model is on your account, it stays on your account, keeps appearing in your list, and you can keep ordering shoots with it exactly as before. This holds whether you added it yourself or it arrived with your account.
Before one of the models was withdrawn, we checked for accounts that had demonstrably been shooting with it without ever having added it, and added it properly to each of them first — so that hiding the card could not quietly end work that was already under way.
New accounts now start with eight styles. The set a new account receives has been re-curated to eight current ones covering studio, outdoor, interior and detail work. Existing accounts are untouched by this: the set is chosen once, when an account is created.
What remains in the marketplace is the current generation, and the styles handed to new accounts are drawn from it.
