The packshot dialog has always let you choose which product photo to generate from. That choice was not being carried through: every packshot was built from the product's first uploaded photo, whichever one you picked.
Three things followed from that, and all three are fixed.
- A back-side packshot could not be produced at all. The generator was told the first photo's side and shown every photo of the product, so asking for the back gave you the front.
- A finished packshot moved. While generating, its tile sat under the photo you picked; on completion it jumped to the row of the first photo. Nothing was lost, but the packshot was filed in the wrong place.
- Only the first photo was ever prepared for generation. A photo that is not the product's first one could never satisfy the quality step that runs before a packshot. Every live photo of a product is now prepared, once each.
Packshots created before this fix have been re-filed under the photo they were actually generated from, so your existing library reads correctly rather than showing a mixture of the two behaviours.
Shape of generated images. Packshots and AI models are now portrait (4:5) and sceneries landscape (4:3). Previously none of these carried a shape at all and each generator fell back to its own default, which was landscape — awkward for a product shot and for a model. Photo shoots are unaffected: they keep the proportions set on the session. Images generated before this change keep the shape they were created with.
